1 | Did the disciples have a choice? | John 15:16 | Reformer Joe | 37787 | ||
And to be perfectly fair, while I consider Geisler to be an excellent resource on many things, he does an embarassing job of presenting his case for so-called "moderate Calvinism" (isn't that like being "a little bit pregnant"?). I felt really bad for Geisler after the way James R. White completely dismantled his arguments piece-by-piece in his response to "Chosen but Free," entitled "The Potter's Freedom." Anyone wanting to honestly analyze both sides of this debate should follow up Geisler's book with this one. One thing I was extremely disappointed with in Geisler's book was his extensive use of quotes from individuals, without placing those quotes in their context, which conveyed a completely different meaning from those meanings he assigned to the quotes themselves... --Joe! |
