1 | Does the OT talk about resurrection? | Matt 22:30 | Morant61 | 17615
Greetings CDBJ! If there is a causual relationship betweent the first and second sentences. I don't know Hebrew well enough to determine that. However, it also looks possible (even more likely) that the first sentence is associated with third sentence where it is said the people will be delievered. The reason I say more likely is because of the number of times the word is used in Daniel. If 'amad' were only used 1, then we could say that maybe it is being used in an unusual way from the rest of the OT. However, it is used over 30 times in Daniel alone and none of those uses support the idea of 'amad' meaning to 'leave' or 'stop restraing'. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

2 | Does the OT talk about resurrection? | Matt 22:30 | CDBJ | 17623
You don't need to know Heb. to understand what is going to happen. I think you missed what was being said. The word amad could mean anything, it doesn't matter, it still wouldn't change anything even if he stood on his head. The facts is that what ever he did, after what ever he did there would come a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time. Christ said the same thing in Matt. 24:21. Maybe when Michael stood up, and the timing would be right, he went to the war that was taking place in heaven mentioned in Rev. 12:7, because what happens in the rest of Rev. 12:7-17 gives ref. to the same time of trouble that will take place in the World. 3 | Does the OT talk about resurrection? | Matt 22:30 | Morant61 | 17645
Greetings CDBJ! I've heard of angels dancing on the head of a pin, but I've never heard of one standing on his head! :-) I do understand what you are trying to say. I'm just not convinced that we can tie Dan. 12:1 and 2 Thess. 2:7 together as being a reference to the same person. As far as the timing is concerned, there are alot of events that will occur at about that time as well, so I'm not real surprised about the timing. I do think you are right about Dan. 12:1 and Rev. 12. They do seem to fit together! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
