Hi Victor, Perhaps if you check an older dictionary for "divine", you will see the way that Doc meant it. This word used to include in it's meaning "Theologian". You can see this in your older Bibles, in the title of the last book, "The Revelation of St. John the Divine." The claim is not that John was God, but that he brought you information about God. And Victor, you seem like a knowledgable and well-read fellow, and you may have a meaningful contribution to make to this forum. Negative personal characturizations merely diminish the impact of your message, and are not well received. I ask of you patience. If you feel offended by another's post, address it with them if you think you need to, but kindly, and with the intent that you would build up, and not tear down. This is our Lord's command. John didn't write that "We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we agree with the brethren." 1 John 3:14 "We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren." I hope and pray that you will receive this in the spirit in which I mean it. God bless you! Love in Christ, Mark |

Great scripture Mark! Well said! These are the things that should be seen when others read these post. You never know who may be reading and what their relationship with the Lord is. We should never try to eat the meat without having the milk to wash it down with. |
