1 | Anger-Psalm 4:4 | Ps 4:1 | Bruce7 | 120935
When you are angry, do not sin. Check your material. Also I would caution you on this version of the bible, it has many changes and deletions. The Authorized KJ has the least amount of changes.
2 | Alleged changes in the NKJV | Ps 4:1 | kalos | 123976
Alleged changes in the NKJV I am curious about the alleged changes and deletions in the NKJV. Changes to what? Deletions from what? The Greek text? The KJV of 1611? The KJV of 1629? The KJV of 1638? The KJV of 1762? The KJV of 1769? If the NKJV makes changes to and deletions from the Greek text, I'd like to see the evidence. If not, then I wouldn't worry too much about these so called changes. |

4 | Alleged changes in the NKJV | Ps 4:1 | EdB | 124034
Bruce7 "You may want to contact, Texe Marrs.com. They have a pamplet about the NKJ version changes. You'll be shocked." But is the information at that site correct? Are they Greek and Hebrew scholars to the point that they can say without any error that KJV had it right and NKJV is wrong or can they only say there is a difference. Most of these sites assume the KJV to be the standard. Why? There are many Bibles written in English before and after the KJV. In fact the KJV used some as a basis for it. Perhaps we should be using one of them as the standard since they were earlier. How does the NKJV compare to them? I don't think anyone will deny there are differences between the KJV and NKJV or any of the other new translation for that matter. What is denied is the arguement that the new translations have it wrong and KJV had it right. The Greek and Hebrew transcripts show this simply is not the case. EdB |

A deletion is a deletion. We must be very careful, as per Scripture, about deletions and additions and changes. Bruce
6 | Alleged changes in the NKJV | Ps 4:1 | EdB | 124047
Bruce I agree!!!! But again you use the KJV as the standard and it is not. The standard must be the original texts. If we compare all the manuscripts together we find that the manuscripts the KJV translators used had small differences in it compared to the all the others. Should we say that manuscript is correct and all the others incorrect? Or should we say since many of the other manuscripts are actually older and therefore less prone to been changes that they should be used as the standard? In many cases we see in the KJV that text was added which I think you will agree is just as bad as deleteing. EdB |

7 | Alleged changes in the NKJV | Ps 4:1 | Bruce7 | 124199
Sure, but as a practical, daily, prayer, and mediatation guide, manuscripts would not be practical. Aramaic would be better to study. Bruce
8 | Alleged changes in the NKJV | Ps 4:1 | EdB | 124200
Bruce I'm not sure what brought this up but I do hope you know very little of the Bible is written in Aramaic. The Bible as handed down to us was written mostly in Hebrew and Greek. It was then later translated into Latin and later into the other languages. The "Modern" translations went back to the early Hebrew and Greek manuscripts, many that were written earlier than the ones used in the KJV translation, and compared them to find any added or deleted text. Once this was accomplished they then produced with they can the majority text, meaning a majority of the existing texts agree with it. From that the translated the new "modern" texts. EdB |

Bruce Then what is your point? You keep trumpeting the KJV but offer nothing to support your reasons other than some half baked web sites done by people that have no idea what they are talking about. EdB |

Bruce Are you saying everyone that uses something other than the KJV are not lead of the Holy Spirit? If you are that is a problem, you puting a condition on Christianity that simply doesn't exist. People that do that are called cultist. EdB |
