Subject: Alleged changes in the NKJV |
Bible Note: Bruce7 "You may want to contact, Texe Marrs.com. They have a pamplet about the NKJ version changes. You'll be shocked." But is the information at that site correct? Are they Greek and Hebrew scholars to the point that they can say without any error that KJV had it right and NKJV is wrong or can they only say there is a difference. Most of these sites assume the KJV to be the standard. Why? There are many Bibles written in English before and after the KJV. In fact the KJV used some as a basis for it. Perhaps we should be using one of them as the standard since they were earlier. How does the NKJV compare to them? I don't think anyone will deny there are differences between the KJV and NKJV or any of the other new translation for that matter. What is denied is the arguement that the new translations have it wrong and KJV had it right. The Greek and Hebrew transcripts show this simply is not the case. EdB |
