Bible Note: Bruce I'm not sure what brought this up but I do hope you know very little of the Bible is written in Aramaic. The Bible as handed down to us was written mostly in Hebrew and Greek. It was then later translated into Latin and later into the other languages. The "Modern" translations went back to the early Hebrew and Greek manuscripts, many that were written earlier than the ones used in the KJV translation, and compared them to find any added or deleted text. Once this was accomplished they then produced with they can the majority text, meaning a majority of the existing texts agree with it. From that the translated the new "modern" texts. EdB |
