1 | Must we justify incest among Adam's kids | Gen 1:1 | EdB | 73601
Steph Let me add one point to what my brother said. When God rejected Cain's offering Cain had two options one let anger take over, as we know Cain did, or two learn from what God was teaching him and offer a new sacrifice. Cain got angry then he struck out at Abel, not at who angered him, but rather his brother. Abel had done nothing to Cain. The lesson here is many times we get angry we effect people that had nothing to do why we are angry. Secondly we can’t elevate ourselves by destroying others. Thirdly at each of lives lesson points we can choose to receive the lesson being taught or we can get angry and learn nothing. EdB |

Oh my, I wonder if I would have dwelt so long on this topic if I had known that this particular "real-life" application would come onto my head. Thank you for bringing it up. Its entirely appropriate, considering some recent, lamentable behavior that I have brought to the Lord for forgiveness, and in the future, I would so rather be reminded of these "points" by reading Scripture than by personal experience! Thank You.
