Subject: God love the senner but hate the sin |
Bible Note: Dear gospel, Welcome to the forum. I noticed in your rather long post, that not once did you refer to homosexuality as being sinful. Is it your position that it is not? Aren’t we called to edify others and inform them when they might be missing the mark, or am I not understanding what scriptures teach concerning admonishing, teaching or rebuking or edifying? 1Thesollonians 5:14 And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 2Timothy 4:2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 2John 1:9 Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. Sometimes harsh answers aren’t necessarily harsh but simply the truth viewed as being harsh. I would much rather someone be harsh and truthful and have a concern for the well being of my soul than have them not want to offend and not properly instruct me in fear of hurting my feelings.
