Bible Question: So, use of the word "day" is simply an allegorical measure for the simplicity of our understanding, yes? This should be especially true considering the words you quote were written by Peter 1500 years later than those written by Moses in Genesis. |
Bible Answer: Hi, Stultis! The most remarkable part of Creation happened on the sixth day: God breath into a clay figure the breath of life (Spirit)... the power of God is unmeasurable but the revelations made to man are limited to man's development (both physical and spiritual)... Genesis does not specify a 24-hour day period, as Norm pointed out. A division of Creation was term "day"--yet this is not for God's need to understand or catalog His Creation; rather this is to allow our finite being to assimilate the order of Creation. God Bless!
