Bible Question: What view does the Bible give about proselytizing? and how does it apply on the job? |
Bible Answer: buddboy I assume you mean sharing ones faith in hopes of having another accept that faith. Because we are to love our neighbor we should be concerned about his eternal state. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Therefore if the person's faith isn't in Christ his eternity is lost. Sharing on the job opens a problem. We were hired to work not to share the gospel. However I see no problem with sharing the gospel on break or during lunch. That is unless the person your sharing with has asked you to stop. If your doing it in a way that others can hear and they have asked you to stop you should respect their wishes and you and the person you sharing with should move to an area that others won't have to hear you. Remember were not to make ourselves odorous to others by trying to force the gospel down their throats. EdB |
