Subject: Was Adam and Eve's fall a good thing? |
Bible Note: Welcome to the forum, I was going to start of by saying Hi Water, but I starter laughing and decided to change it. I think the answer to your question resides in a verse found in I Cor. 1 Cor. 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. What this is telling us is that until a person is actually born of the Spirit, the things contained in God’s Word won’t make any sense to them. Jesus said this same thing in the book of John. John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. The word see, in the English comes to us from the Koine Greek word EIDO; and it means perception or understanding. The best thing that anyone can do to help someone understand Scripture is to expound on the person of Jesus and what he has done for them so that they will put all of their faith and trust in Him and as a result God will cause them to be born again. John 3:7-8 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. The key to understanding the whole Bible resides in the person of Jesus, the Son of God. John 20:30-31 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: 31But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
