Bible Question: I have been told that the Church of Christ is the only true Church. How do you Know if you are attending the right Church as far as denomination? Please provide text. |
Bible Answer: This is my own oppinion and I realize that others may not agree. In my life I have been to many churches and have had many good experiences with different denominations for example. Penicostal,Quaker,Lutheren,Church of God and I am currently at Church of Christ.I truly believe that the church you attend should reflect what you are searching for ln your personnal journey with Christ. When I was a young girl I went to Church of God. And learned all of the wonderful songs that stuck with me my whole life. After I had my first child I was searching for a deeper comitment with Christ. He led me to the Penicostal church where I was baptized. All churches are different. Even in the same denominations. Because the human factor is so great, pastors come and go and churches change with every new member. I can honestly say that every church I have attended has strengthened my walk with Christ. After all he is everywhere if we choose to see him. Churches are very much like people. They each have strong points as well as weaknesses. And in choosing a new place of worship we need to weigh these factors carefully. After all these people will become your new family. You will need to be able to work together to further Christ's work. My own requirements for a church is that it be bible based (scripture read every service) believeing in the Holy Spirit, baptizing, recognition and suport of the youth and young children in the congrigation, but most important Jesus Jesus Jesus his life our example. I hope this will help with your search as I said this is my own experience. Prayerfully consider your decision and you cannot go wrong with Christ leading the way.Trust and obey there's no other way. Christ be with you as you search your heart. I pray that the lord will bless you with a wonderful new church, where you can grow closer to our lord Jesus Christ. Peace be with you your sister, BNblessed |
