Subject: Love for all, judge not anyone |
Bible Note: Hi Wily... Unfortunately far too many miss the fact that Christ himself is the Sabbath. And it is in Him and Him alone that we find our rest, not on any particular day. (i.e. Sabbath or Saturday) Col 2:17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ. Gen 5:29 Now he called his name Noah, saying, "This one will give us rest from our work and from the toil of our hands arising from the ground which the LORD has cursed." Noah is a picture of Christ, Christ in whom we find eternal salvation and eternal rest ( i.e.-Sabbath) Ex 33:14 And He said, "My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest." God, in the presence of the Holy Spirit, in us, gives us rest (Sabbath) Christ is now our High Priest; in Him we find our eternal rest (Sabbath) He has become the High Priest and the Sacrifice ALL in ONE. He is our all in all! Lev 5:1-19 Etc Etc... Deut 12:10 "When you cross the Jordan and live in the land which the LORD your God is giving you to inherit, and HE "GIVES" you rest from all your enemies around you so that you live in security, (emphasis in caps mine) Rest (i.e.-Sabbath) is an eternal gift of God, in Christ, through the Holy Spirit. The OT is rife with verse on this subject. As is the New. I could go on and on. These are a shadow of things to come. Yes, he is the fulfillment of them and fulfill them He did indeed. John 19:30 Col 2:16 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day-- Col 2:17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ. Matt 11:28 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. The Sabbath rest, is a gift of God, when we are in Christ, through the work of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Peace and rest to you in Christ, not just on, one, day in the week, but forever. Now there is a blessing that too many miss! Yes it is a shame indeed, that so many miss out on a great benefit from the Creator. Take care. -John |
