Subject: Love for all, judge not anyone |
Bible Note: Would they be entitled to eternal life with God? No. No man is justified by the law in the sight of God...The Just shall live by faith (Galatians 3:11). What kind of faith? There is dead faith and there is live faith. Faith without works is a dead faith (James 2:26). In addition to works, there is also the issue of obedience. I know it is a popular notion that disobedience to God is okay because, after all, we're under grace. Right? "What shall be say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God Forbid...." (Romans 6:1-2). And what is sin? Sin is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4) Let no one judge you in meat. Have some steak if you desire to, or some lamb. In drink. Have some wine if you choose (1 Timothy 5:23). In respect of a holy day. Don't allow anyone to judge you for keeping the celebrations of the Father as outlined in Leviticus chapter 23 (no need for the sacrifices, of course, thanks to the sacrifice of Christ). New moon. You can celebrate a new moon if you choose. God doesn't require it but you can still do it as a get together. Or of the Sabbath days. Don't allow anyone to judge you for remembering what was commanded in the fourth commandment. He said, remember. He knew we'd forget. It is certainly good to not frustrate the grace of God. Without grace through the sacrifice of Christ none of us would even start the process of salvation. |
