Subject: Love for all, judge not anyone |
Bible Note: Hello Kam. The importance of keeping the commandments continues into the future. "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus" (Revelation 14:12). The importance of the commandments is shown not only in the fact that they were written in stone, but also their placement in the ark of the covenant. The law of the covenant of Jordan, sometimes called the second law, was put in the side of the ark (Deuteronomy 31:24-27). This is not to indicate that a person cannot be blessed for obeying ordinances that are outside the Ten Commandments. Keeping the Feast of First fruits (the feast of weeks) causes one to understand the plan of God in regard to people who are being called to be a part of Christ's headquarters team. Keeping the Feast of Unleavened Bread causes one to understand coming out of sin just as the children of Israel came out of bondage from Egypt. Pharaoh is symbolic of Satan. Egypt is symbolic of sin. What is sin? It is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4). Even logic alone would tell us that keeping the ten commandments is more important than avoiding boiling a young goat in its mother's milk. Of course, I don't boil milk at all. It destroys the live-giving enzymes. |
