Subject: What exactly must a person to be saved? |
Bible Note: I would like to speak to the statement that Acts 2 where they spoke of the things of God but had not prepared beforehand. The scriptures to take no thought what you will say...the Holy spirit will give you the words... in context is stating that we should not necessarily have prepared statements but should rely on the Holy Spirit to give us discernment in situations in order to know what needs to be said. Such an example is Jesus and the rich young ruler. Jesus did not give him the same response He gave Nicodemus because He discerned the difference in these two mens hearts. But when you compare Matthew 10 to John 14:25-26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. So inActs 2 the Spirit filled Apostles were speaking the words Jesus had taught them through the discerning guidance of the Holy Spirit. God bless |
