Subject: TATTOOS....yea or nay?? |
Bible Note: Montag Your right we can't keep the LAW and while our salvation is not based on our ability to keep or not keep the Law, we have not been given liberty to break the law. Your argument flies in the face of what Paul wrote in Romans 6:15 “What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!” Our justification does not come from the LAW but rather from the one that died for us, however we are still to obey His Law and His teaching. Grace is not a license to commit sin. Comparing a scar to a tattoo is like comparing a car accident to intentionally driving a car off a cliff. My friend there is no justification in disregarding God’s prohibition against tattoos, whether you call it a display of your liberty or as I call it rebellion, your still in opposition to what God told us not to do. I would rethink offering this advice to others as it does violate God's nature. God has a reason for telling us not tattoo ourselves and neither liberty nor grace makes it okay to violate that prohibition. EdB |
