Subject: TATTOOS....yea or nay?? |
Bible Note: Montag I course I do not keep all the Old Testament laws, many were fulfilled by Jesus. Many more were man made and still others were set aside. However tattoos do not fit in any of the above categories. Therefore I beleive they are still wrong. I do try not to do the things that were expressly prohibited by God. If God said don't do it, and it serves no purpose other than my selfish interest then I try not to do it. Again we were given freedom from the penalty of sin not license to commit sin. God called Homosexuality a sin and abomination, since that was in the Old Testament should I now say Homosexuality is okay? I know many Homosexual groups claim that, but in fact it is still a sin. Jesus said he didn't come to do away with the Law, but rather to free us from it penalty. Unless Jesus fulfilled the law as in the case of the Sabbath rest, or correct the law as in the case of restricted food, the law still stands. If we break the law we are rebelling against God however the Blood of Jesus covers that sin. He did not make it sinless, it is still sin. By grace we are forgiven of it. EdB |
