Subject: What does Bible teach on election? |
Bible Note: Greg, you know we human beings have a way of asking questions about God, such as Can God make a rock so big that He can't lift it? that clearly shows that our God is too small, i.e., our concept of Him is finite because we ourselves are finite. No one has yet been able to answer definitively how God makes it possible for us to have at least limited choice in our thoughts and deeds while at the same time being an all-knowing and eternal God. Now about the rock: If our sovereign God spoke the universe into being and has the power to speak it out of being if He chose, it's not likely that a rock of whatever size would pose much of a problem for Him, do you think? Human beings have a tough time understanding each other. How can they presume to understand all there is to know about God and His ways? --Hank |
