Bible Note: There are non Christan sources from apostolic times that attest to Jesus' existence. Which is all the more remarkable since he lived such an obscure life. But why should you be allowed to discount Christian sources attesting to Jesus' existence? Why is their testimony, for which we have more ancient manuscripts than almost any other historical personage of the same era, discounted as proof of existence. Could it be a double standard? You can't even prove, in the sense you are talking about, that your own great great great grand mother existed, except by the fact of your own existence. And I can use the same argument for a Creator from the very fact of the existence of creation and your own existence for that matter. |
