Bible Note: Hello Brother Tim, Thanks for clarifying for me. I believe this hits the nail on the head (so to speak). Your right that it is not a conditional statement. I believe this is essential in really getting to the point of truth here. "I will never leave you nor forsake you". No conditions, no works, no if's you do or don't. Simply, I will never leave you nor forsake you. As the writer points out immediately before; it is for this reason that we are to continue to strive to do good and live holy lives. But doing so is not the condition. Isn't it an awesome and totally capable God that we were saved by? God bless, Jeff |
