Bible Question: Could it be that everyone's name is written in the Book of Life ... and if they die without Him, their name is blotted out? |
Bible Answer: Question: Could it be that everyone's name is written in the Book of Life ... and if they die without Him, their name is blotted out? Answer: In Revelation 13 and 17 it doesn't say anything about names being BLOTTED OUT. It speaks of names that HAD NOT BEEN WRITTEN in the book. One cannot blot out names that were not there to begin with. Rev 13:8 NASB All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation (creation) of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain. Rev 17:8 NASB The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go to destruction. And those who dwell on the earth, whose name has not been written in the book of life from the foundation (creation) of the world, will wonder when they see the beast, that he was and is not and will come. |
