Bible Note: Dear Ed, The problem is that no one who is unsaved is truly seeking the truth. Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness Rom 3:11 THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD; How then can anyone be saved? Matt 19:26 And looking at them Jesus said to them, "With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." If only one person is saved out of a cult of millions, that is not our concern. Our concern is to be obediant to the commandment. We are to bring the gospel call to all people everywhere. Of course this is where our theological differences are a stumbling block to agreement. I believe that the church must give the gospel message to each and every person in the entire world (on this point we agree). Where we part is on the issues of "free-will" and "election". But I do not wish to go over that ground again. But, because I believe that it is God who chose me, I can proclaim the gospel to the head "prophet" of the Morman religion in Salt Lake and have confidence that if he is among the elect of God, He will be saved. If not through me, through someone else; If not now, later on. If God can save you and me, He can save whomsoever He chooses. Thats why He is called "GOD ALMIGHTY". Your Fellow Savee :-), John |
