AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Peter 1:2 ¶ according to the foreknowledge of God the Father by the sanctifying work of the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ and to be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace [that special sense of spiritual well-being] be yours in increasing abundance [as you walk closely with God]. Subject: Election |
Bible Note: Greetings Doc! We could debate whether or not 'Israel' refers to every member of the nation of Israel, but that was not the point of my question. Rom. 11 distinguishes between the 'elect' and those who were hardened. Thus, those who were hardened are not 'elect'. Yet, the rest of the chapter makes it clear that they too can and will be grafted in again. So, my question is, if 'election' refers to a decision by God in eternity past (as the quote from MacArthur stated), how could these 'non-elect' get grafted in again?
