Subject: How does God determine the difference? |
Bible Note: Angel - How does God determine the difference between those who are saved and those who are not? Do we presume to dictate to others that they MUST be baptized, they MUST live a life of good works, etc to obtain salvation? This is contrary to God's Word. Titus 3:5 and Eph 2:8-9 are very clear on just what our role is - it is simply to believe. Our faith in the finished work of Christ (His redemption, propitiation, justification, reconciliation, regeneration, and sanctification, etc) clothes us with the RIGHTEOUSNESS of Christ. As in the OT, those who GOD has credited HIS rigteousness (and they too were given it through faith in God Heb 11:1-2) will be saved from eternal separation from Him. This is what I believe God will look for when we stand before Him. Blessings, mommapbs PS: See post 27011 |
