Bible Question:
I'm sorry, did you just call me a false prophet? Careful, when the Pharisees said that Jesus drove out demons "only by Beelzebub", he warned that "anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven". You do not know me, so perhaps you spoke in ignorance. I forgive you. Contrary to what you may think, I am a believer and a disciple in Christ Jesus who is sick and tired of hearing that perfection is not possibly in this life. Go ahead and use 1John 4 to test me! I acknowledge that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh! I acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God! Do you acknowledge that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh? Do you acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God? |
Bible Answer: You said ... "We deny the power of the Holy Spirit which we have received through Christ when we refuse to believe that he will produce in us the kind of righteousness that the Father requires. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 is fulfilled before our eyes." So, I said "2 Timothy 3:1-5 brings to mind Matthew 7:15-23 and 1 John 4:1ff ... people appear to have to form of godliness, but are not, as wolves in sheep's clothing." ... which is not calling you a false prophet ... it is saying that 2 Timothy 3:1-5 is not about being righteous ... but just having the appearance of righteous. Many have shown you perfection is not possibly in this life. |
