We are saved by grace - God's unmerited favor towards us - through faith in His Son. We also live and grow by faith in that same grace. God's grace is a gift. We can't earn it and we certainly don't deserve it. He freely gives us grace because He loves us. Grace is a Person, it is Jesus Christ Himself who is full of grace and truth. He is our very life! - Colossians 3:4. As believers, God has given us a new identity in Christ and He lives the Christian life through us as we abide in the true Vine. The apostle Peter exhorts us in 2 Pet 3:18 to grow in grace and in knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
