Bible Note: Dear Doc, Exactly, the liberal theology gives the interpreter more leeway in their interpretations rather than making the bible their plumbline. Their interpretations have to line up with the bible not the other way around. This is why context is so crucial and why the further we get from the literal texts the closer we get to error. One example is if I wrote someone a letter and they pulled out one line of my letter. They could bend it to whatever form they like. This is what many news medias do.
