AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Timothy 4:2 preach the word [as an official messenger]; be ready when the time is right and even when it is not [keep your sense of urgency, whether the opportunity seems favorable or unfavorable, whether convenient or inconvenient, whether welcome or unwelcome]; correct [those who err in doctrine or behavior], warn [those who sin], exhort and encourage [those who are growing toward spiritual maturity], with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching. |
Subject: Contemporizing Christians Message? |
Bible Note: Dear Doc, Are you saying the whole NASB and ESV are self explanatory and that no one needs any help understanding the Bible, or that messages sent to first century people in first century settings don't need any reapplication or reinterpretation for today? :)hats anyone? The NASB is the one of the most wooden (stiff)translations that exists and is harder to comprehend than most all other Bibles... Are you actually saying after 2,000 centuries of folks who made it their life's work to make the Bible understandable to lay men that all anyone needs to do is go read it for themselves and boom, it will become clear?
