Subject: Is the Bible itself evil? |
Bible Note: Mt. 5:21- Everything in this brief quote was an action. Even anger is an action. I can believe that this would matter. Mt. 5:27- In my opinion, this is a bit silly. Lust is part of the human condition. What is it that causes us to approach a woman and ask her out? The absolute need to get to know her better? Perhaps. More likely than not, we see a beautiful woman and have certain thoughts. I guess I don't see what is wrong with having lusty thoughts and I think it is a terrible thing to be condemned by our God for it. Mark 7:20- If I don't misunderstand this quote. We are all considered "unclean" just by being alive. Yes we are capable of doing all of these things, but why should it be said that simply because I CAN do something terrible, that means I am bad. Jesus himself was able to perform these same actions. Heb. 4:12- What does this mean? What are we talking about when we say "The word of God"? God himself or his "word"? I think it's terrible for people to believe that simply for thinking something they will be judged. I'm not saying they should allow their minds to run away with them, but certainly they will not be condemned for them. |
