Bible Note: Dear SON, I see... I misunderstood your application. That's what I get for popping on for a quick scan of forum posts! As we walk out Philippians 2:3, offenses will begin to fade. We can put it up with a great deal when we realize that if people knew us as well as God knows us, they could be far, far more correctly hurtful! On the other hand, when we love the truth, we hunger for instruction (Proverbs 9:8). We will understand that Biblical rebuke does not have a disrespectful or negative connotation. It is simply the application of the truth to a present situation, circumstance, or attitude. It has its roots in our love of the God of truth and for His children. More and more we seek to please the Lord in all that occupies our heads, hearts, and hands. Other things fade. Thank you for your efforts to be sensitive and compliant. I am sure I speak for the rest of the forum participants: We look forward to your continued participation. In Him, Doc |
