Subject: Which commandment was he talking about? |
Bible Note: I’m not that familiar with the 613, but I do know what you are referencing. I’ll refer you to a couple of old posts and the conversation about them. Numbers 169621 and 169680. The 613 you mention were not what our Lord was referring to when he said He fulfilled the law or that we will have fulfilled them. He said and I’ll quote the scripture, and please focus on v40. Matthew 22:36-40: 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. How many did He state? And Christian love is an action not an emotion dear friend. God out of love for those who didn’t love Him gave His Son. His Son gave His life to save us. That is the love we are to emulate. That is love in action. That is love. Stand in His grace, WOS |
