Bible Note: Mathew Your approved food was only for the Jews to set them apart from the Gentiles. We no longer live under Jewish law Jesus set us free. Mark 7:15 There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man. If food is received with thanksgiving and we ask God to bless and sanctify it to our good I believe we can eat it. Would I eat rat or bat no, but if I did it would have no effect on my salvation. Mathew your letting yourself be put under the Levitical dietary laws that do not pertain to you only to Jews. If you don't want to eat something don't, but don't base your salvation or the closeness of your walk with God on it. That was the mistake the Pharisees made. EdB |
