Subject: Adam and Eve Perfect or Flawed |
Bible Note: Was Eve tempted to sin or was she tricked? Gen 3:13 Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" And the woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate." 1 Tim 2:14 And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. Rom 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned-- Rom 5:19 For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous. As I understand Scripture, any view that make man morally flawed before the fall contradicts Scripture. Col 3:10 and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him-- If man is the image of God (1 Cor 11:7, Gen 1:26) and If God's purpose is to renew that image which was marred by the fall, then that image cannot have been morally flawed at creation, else we are being restored to a morally flawed state. |
