Bible Note: You wrote: 'No where in the Bible is the word "Trinity" used.' But it sure is taught there! I also recommend you investigate the history of the doctrine a little more. In the New Testament and between the writing of the New Testament and 325, there is a significant body of work showing that the component doctrines which come together to form the Trinity were held by the earliest church. A creed came out of Nicea to combat the heresy of Arius, but the creed added nothing to the revelation of God found in the 66 books of the Bible. Hey, since you are new here, please take a couple of minutes to give yourself a profile. Thanks! --Joe! |
