Bible Question: Is Jesus and God the Father not the same? |
Bible Answer: They are absolutely different!!! I used to ask myself the same question until I came upon some information that aswered my question. No where in the Bible is the word "Trinity" used. The idea of the trinity had been on the minds of the early monks in the Catholic church. At the Council of Nicea in 325 a.d., the monks talked about whether the trinity really existed for about a month and then they voted on it. Obviously it passed, but I have read too many verses in the Bible to show otherwise. I have trouble acknowledging a doctrine that was voted on and seems much too confusing to be something of God. As for the verses that are quoted above, it always says "through" Jesus. Jesus Christ is the key to our salvation and our return to Heavenly Father. It is "through" Jesus Christ that all things all possible. I hope this has helped answer your question. :) |
