AMPLIFIED 2015 | Philippians 2:6 who, although He existed in the form and unchanging essence of God [as One with Him, possessing the fullness of all the divine attributes--the entire nature of deity], did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped or asserted [as if He did not already possess it, or was afraid of losing it]; |
Subject: 2 Natures? |
Bible Note: No fair! I asked you first :-) ..... Seriously, what I am driving at is that I'd like to see you expand on your answer, expounding, with scriptural references, on the "fully God, fully man" doctrine. This is a key doctrine of the Christian faith, yet one of the least understood. It is taught that the incarnate Jesus was man with divine attributes; or, that He was God with human attributes. Is either correct? What does the Bible teach? This is a big order, John, so take your time in responding; or, if you prefer, you may elect to pass. I'm not trying to trick you at all, or to scold you, but it is such a vital subject that I believe it deserves more than a quick answer. --Hank |
