Subject: God's eternal purpose |
Bible Note: Are we saying then that the only way for God to achieve His eternal purpose was through Adam's sin? That unless someone sinned, God's purpose could not be accomplished? Or, are we saying that of all the various ways God could have acheived His eternal purpose, He chose a method that necessitated Adam to sin, again saying that God's purpose required sin, but that it could have been different? Or should we rather say that God's purpose was to have a people holy and blameless, without the hint of sin, and so that is what He made, and that when Adam fell, He initiated and provided a way for man to be made holy and blameless, which was what He wanted all along? Just something to think about. . . Love in Christ, Mark |
