Bible Note: That's what you believe, however The Word of God doesn't say "that the baptism of the Holy Spirit occurs at the moment of salvation". I don't have a trick bible, Acts 19:2-6 (read it) doesn't even come close to what you suggest. You are impacting people lives here by what you state, it could be easy for someone to be swayed by what you are saying here. Ephesians 4:5 - Some have thought that because Paul says there is one baptism that the idea of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is invalid, but Paul is only speaking here of the baptism by water which is the visible token of God's common work in every believer, and thus a baisis of unity - there aren't seperate baptism for Jew and Gentile. The concept of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is spoken of clearly in Matthew 3:11, Acts 1:2 and 11:16. This may be considered an initial (and sometimes dramatic) experience one has with the fullness of the Holy Spirit, a filling that God wants to continue through a person's Christian Life. Blessings to you, He is The One |
