Subject: Are there any true prophets/prophetss' t |
Bible Note: Greetings Brad! In 1 Cor. 12:10, prophecy is listed as one of the gifts given by the Holy Spirit. In 1 Cor. 12:28, prophets are listed as among those appointed in the Church by God. 1 Cor. 14:29 gives the instruction that no more than 2 or 3 prophets should speak at a time. In Rev. 11:10, the two witnesses are referred to as prophets. Acts 21:10 refers to a prophet by the name of Agabus. In light of all of these verses, I would have a difficult time saying that prophecy and prophets are no longer for today. :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
