AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace [God's remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. Bible Question: Should we use the word "alone"? |
Bible Answer: Greetings "The Bible Is Right", We have been saved by God's grace through faith, and that is the only thing (God's grace) that can save us. That is why we use words like "alone" when we describe God's gift of salvation. No system of works or attaining merit badges will ever gain anyone entrance into the Kingdom of heaven. It is a gift that must be freely accepted and received, based on your faith in Jesus Christ. Is anything that we are saying making any sense to you, my friend? Have you read this part of the Bible and are you confused? Please give us some background on where you are, exactly, in your journey in accepting Christ as Lord and Savior. Blessings to you, Makarios |
