Bible Question: What's contain in the gospel that saves us? |
Bible Answer: Greetings again, "The Bible is Right!" I missed your last question, but I was able to post an answer to your first question in this thread.. I believe that it is better for us to look in Romans for the answer than in Ephesians.. Perhaps we should start at Romans 10:17, which states, "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." And the 'word of Christ' and 'good news' (v.16) are both referring to the Gospel message. Quite simply, the Gospel message contains the Truth about God, and if we believe the Truth upon hearing it, then we begin to have faith in God ("Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." Heb. 11:1). And the moment that we believe, have faith and truly put our trust in Jesus Christ, then He will extend to us His gift of 'saving grace.' Blessings to you, Makarios |
