NASB | Ephesians 2:3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 2:3 Among these [unbelievers] we all once lived in the passions of our flesh [our behavior governed by the sinful self], indulging the desires of human nature [without the Holy Spirit] and [the impulses] of the [sinful] mind. We were, by nature, children [under the sentence] of [God's] wrath, just like the rest [of mankind]. |
Subject: Dear John: Is it possible? |
Bible Note: John Don't you see if we are preordained to believe what we believe no amount of discussion this side of heaven effects anything. It has been preordained. Then to think God put two lines of thought into a human race is like your saying God is the God of division. If God preordained anything it would be consistant to all people. How else could He sit in judgement? We wouldn't be judging our actions but rather what he preordained to happen. To the atheist who was preordained to hate God, all that could be judged in that person was not whether they hated God or not but if they put themselves completely into the hatred. The fact that they would hate God was by what your saying already established. EdB |
