Bible Note: John: Aeons ago in school I studied logic. Now I must confess that I have forgotten a great deal of the details of this course, but I learned enough about logic and remember enough about it still to come to the conclusion that something there is about your logic that just ain't logical :-) You seem to do right well with your argument until you come to the therefore. What comes after your therefore is not, to my mind, a logical sequence of what comes before it. Moreover, your post contains nary a word of Scripture, fer or agin, your proposition. Can you tighten this up a bit for us, John, so that we may be able to follow your reasoning process just a mite better? And, by the way, if this thread heads into a debate on a point of Calvinism/Arminianism, it must cease. Debates are just plain taboo on the Forum. One may state his position and leave it be. But no bantering back and forth on controversial theological positions and no pushing of one's positional/denominational bias. --Hank |
