Subject: Are Christmas and Easter pagan? |
Bible Note: Dear Glende...Welcome to the Forum :)....Christians celebrate Christmas to remember and give special significance to our Redeemers birth. Non-Christians, that is non-believers, celebrate the holiday as a time joy and peace on Earth. They do not acknowledge the reason for the season. Christians took over and defeated a pagan holiday by instituting a Christian holiday. It may be becoming more and more pagan, but not to Christians. The same holds true for Easter. You wrote..."Seems like the devils crowed has more guts in this area than christians." but concern yourself with yourself and your attitude at this time of year. Be happy for the correct reason, not sad for the wrong reason. We know how the story ends. What you correctly observe is the storyline leading to His coming. Praise be to God. God Bless....Jensen |
