Subject: Are Christmas and Easter pagan? |
Bible Note: Redboy Your right we don't know the exact day Jesus was born but Dec 25 was set aside to commemorate that glorious day. So where is the problem? You said that is a the day the pagans celebrate some feast to their god, so what. If I’m celebrating and rejoicing on this day because I view it as the day of my Lord’s birth on this earth what does that have to do with a pagans? Would Dec 26 make you happy? How about Dec 24 probably not. The idea is to celebrate and honor our Lord not look for problems in doing so. We celebrate our birthdays and set aside special days to honor men and women of fame (usually their birth days). Shouldn’t there be days set aside to do just that for Christ? EdB |
