Bible Question:
I do not presently attend church. I was raised in a pastors home and went to church regularly. It has been at least 3 years since attended organized religious church. My question is can i pay my mother my tithes. Since she is on welfare and my dad left her no means of support. They spent 25 years pastoring. thanks, sonny |
Bible Answer: God desires for us to make sacrificial offerings to him for the perpetuity of the Word of God. Tithes to God. Don't be like Ananias and sapphira. As you give to God, he suppose to bless you with an increase that you will not have room to receive. This increase is not always financial. Our love ones and many suffering poor have not, so Christians can be a light in this dark, dark world. It's sad that the church has abandoned the ministry of the poor and lest fortunate. The prinicipal I use towards giving and anything is use COMMON SENSE. Besides, what does god need with money. If someone is hungry feed them with the tithe, you're still giving to Good. That's true service. Again us common sense. If you are not condemned by your conscious, Christ will not condemn you either. Should Christ should have healed on the sabbath? Use common sense. the church will not miss your tenth. |
