Subject: The possible hindrance agsinst being use |
Bible Note: Let me try to put it another way. If the Spirit baptizes us INTO the Body of Christ, it is the Holy Spirit who is at work to place us into that Body. If I am baptized WITH the Holy Ghost, I am saying I am immersed with the Holy Ghost. If I baptize you with water, I would immerse you into the water.I would dunk you all the way under, because I am immersing you. Like a submarine, a submersible ( spelling sorry ) So the distinction is one of great importance, in Corinithians we are being told about the Spirits work in our life, how He is baptizing us into the Body of Christ. In Acts we are talking about ourselves being baptized into the Spirit. I'm not sure how else to phrase it. But I'll ask you again, if a believer has all of the Holy Ghost they need at the new birth, what is going on in Acts 4, were they not born again yet? |
