Bible Question:
please what are the possible hindrances against being used by God.For instance God would have established Saul's Kingdom but for disobedience (1 Samuel 15:22-29) while it was unwillingness in the case of Johoash King of Israel (2kings 13:14-19)with example from the Bible. from: Kingsley.N.O gentlelynx2@yahoo.com Nigeria. |
Bible Answer: I would have to direct you to 1 Cor 12:4-11, here we see from the scripture that the Holy Spirit will divide gifts to every man as he wills. Gifts of healing, gift of faith, gift of tongues and all the other gifts that are used during a worship service as we call it today. The Spirit divides these gifts, however, the only hinderence I can see from scripture is to not believe on the name of Jesus Christ, and recieve total immersion into the Holy Ghost according to Acts chapters 1 and 2. Jesus said in Acts chapter 1 that the immersion into the Holy Ghost would bring power. And its that power, that allows us to operate to our fullest extent in the gifts of the Spirit. God can use anyone, even those who haven't been immersed into the Holy Spirit, but you can think of it as anyone can drive a car, but some cars, have more power, and can acomplish much much more. So in other words my thoughts would be to say that disobedience would have to be the only thing that can hinder us from serviing God. |
