Bible Note: Greetings Tim: I'm still pondering this . . . now I am wondering if perhaps at times, God blinds the minds of US, (meaning those who are regenerated) because of OUR lack of belief? I am reminded of the verse "I believe, help my unbelief." Mark 9:24. imo We give lip service to God; we say one thing and yet do another. We "say" we believe God is for us and "in control" and then try to grab the steering wheel of our lives . . . can we see this "blinding" as a good thing? Comments? Blessings, t PS: As a man thinks within himself, so is he Prov 23:7 - the mind-heart relationship might be the problem here. In our minds, we are "blind" to the truth of the Gospel, The Truth is revealed and perceived in the heart. When we seek to "know" the Lord apart from HIS power, apart from His revelation to us, namely by just our minds, CAN we see God? Isn't this a form of "good blindness?" Blind guides come to mind here too! |
